What is the minimum order for a custom development?
It depends on the option. If you start from a reference in our catalogue, the recipe is already industrialised and the only real minimum is the print run of your printed packaging: the initial order follows the printer's minimum quantity, not our line. For an exclusive development, the minimum is 10 tonnes, because formulation, the industrial trial and the shelf-life study are only amortised with volume.
How long does a development take from briefing to first production?
If we start from a reference in our catalogue, the recipe is already industrialised: the lead time depends on the design and printing of your packaging and on the slot in our production schedule. As a guide, 2 to 3 months from approval of the briefing. For an exclusive development we add formulation, prototypes, the industrial trial and the shelf-life study: between 6 and 12 months depending on the complexity of the product and the number of iterations your team needs.
Can you manufacture my own recipe?
Yes. We check that it can be industrialised on our lines, carry out an industrial trial and a shelf-life study, and manufacture to your specifications.
Who owns the developed recipe?
If the recipe is provided by you, it is yours: Crono Food Expert manufactures it, but does not market it or offer it to third parties. Before receiving any information, we sign a confidentiality agreement and, when closing the project, an exclusivity contract that leaves in writing who owns the recipe, specifications and packaging. If the development is part of our R&D, the exclusivity conditions are agreed in that same contract before starting.
Can you label for multiple countries?
Yes. Labeled in accordance with Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 in the languages of your market, with nutritional information and allergens verified in the laboratory.
